The Union Leader Open Roads Challenge
The Millennium Mile will be the first race in a new road race series
called The Union Leader Open Roads Challenge. Runners who participate in
each of the three races in the series will be rewarded with a Union
Leader Open Roads Challenge sweatshirt at the end of the series.
The series begins on January 2, 2005, with the Millennium Mile, followed
by the Bedford Rotary Memorial Road Races (either the 12K or the 5K) on
May 21, and culminates with The Union Leader Classic Road Race 8K on
September 10.
An information booth about the Union Leader Open Roads Challenge will be
set up at the Millennium Mile on Sunday, January 2, beginning at noon,
in the Londonderry High School gymnasium. To register for the Millennium
