U.S. 1500m MEDALIST, AMY MORTIMER TO RUN MILLENNIUM MILE 7
2005 U.S. 1500m Bronze Medalist, Amy Mortimer Joins U.S. 10K National Champion, Katie McGregor in a hot women's field in New Hampshire's fastest road race.

Londonderry, NH. The race directors of the Millennium Mile are pleased to announce that Amy Mortimer will be competing in the 7th Annual Millennium Mile (MM7). Amy joins fellow Reebok professional athletes; 2-time Olympian Kevin Sullivan, and US 10K National Champ, Katie McGregor as a guest of the Millennium Mile. 

Amy Mortimer can boast of some very impressive running credentials in only her third year as a professional runner. In June of 2005, she earn a bronze medal in the 1500 meters at the 2005 U.S. National Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 4:07 (approx a 4:26 mile). Earlier in 2005, Amy represented the United States at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in St Galmier, France where she was a member of the team that earned a bronze medal. In 2004, she finished ninth in the 1,500m at the U.S. Olympic Trials. As a collegiate at Kansas State, Amy was a 12-time NCAA All-American and a 5-time Big 12 Conference champion. Currently, Amy Mortimer lives and trains in the Boston metro area and is coached by Boston College assistant track coach, John Mortimer- no relation.
